Are we of the world or out of the world? To be light of the world we need to be shining stars (Mat 5:16). We have been called to imitate Christ’s humility. So does pride takes over us? Christ requires us to work out our salvation by sanctification and not to work for our salvation (Eph 2:8-9). We work out our salvation because God has work in us (Phil 2:13). We have to distinguish ourselves with the world. So work out our salvation and not to take our salvation lightly. God work so we should work too. We are to do what God ask us to do and we are to do everything without complaining or arguing. As shining stars our actions will reflect the nature of Christ. When people see the change in us, people will be drawn to follow Christ.
