“Jesus’ Heart is Broken” by Rev. Poh on 4th Aug 2019

Pastor Poh shared that his heart was broken when he lost his love ones. According to the context of the Scriptures, God’s heart was broken because no one repented of their wickedness (Jeremiah 8: v4-7). Even though we know His Word, we do not listen and we continue to sin. (v8-9) As such, those are the factors that broke Jesus’s heart. As a result, we will have to face the consequences of our continuous sins (v10-13). In our modern world, we may continue to repeat the sins of pride, greed, lost, envy, wrath, gluttony sloth and so forth. And if we continue to sin, we will break the heart of Jesus and hence, we will be the final loser which will then cost us our salvation.

So, do we just believe and read His Word, but do not follow and practice? Let the Word of God transform our heart, for the word of God is alive and active (Heb 4:12). Do we need God to remove from us a heart of stone and give us a heart of flesh? (Eze 36:26) Therefore, what we need is a new heart that walks the talk and lives out the faith.
