Inaugural English Worship Service @ TMCJS On 3rd Jan
TMC @ Jalan Song is an English Congregation supported by Chin Daw Methodist Church ( CDMC)and run by Trinity Methodist Church Jalan Ellis, began her inaugural English Worship Service at 5 pm, 3rd Jan 2016 at the main sanctuary CDMC. Rev Lau Hui Ming, Pastor in Charge TMC delivered the sermon entitled ” New Beginning” and Holy Communion followed the Sermon.
The inaugural service was well attended by members from TMC, CDMC and some from surrounding areas at Jalan Song and Tabuan. There were estimated 260 people and between 50-60 have indicated they may continue to worship here in subsequent weeks.
We pray that many more may continue worshipping at TMC Jalan Song. We will build on them as a base and together grow this Church and reach out to the surrounding communities. We hope in time to come, this English Congregation will mature to become a full Church with its own full time pastor and Committee/LCEC.
The pastor taking charge is Rev Poh Chin Seng assisted by the protem committee. Two local preachers and other preachers-to-be will be helping with the pulpit ministry. ( see menu for Pulpit Ministry topics and bible text.)
Sunday School for children will start on 10 Jan 2016. All children will first worship with their parents at the main sanctuary during Praise and Worship. After P&W, they will leave to go to their respective classes. A cry room is also available for those with young children.
We are starting Sunday School and Home Visitation now. Prayer and Small Group/Fellowship shortly. We consider Youth Ministry & Choir once we have enough people.
This coming week, 10th January, the sermon by Rev Poh CS, is entitled “The Wedding Feast” (Matt 22:2-14)
