Pastor Parish Relations Committee (PPRC)
The Pastor Parish Relations Committee (PPRC) is a committee that looks after the interests of the pastor. The committee is tasked to bridge the gap between the pastor and the congregation if there are issues which arise. It is also part of TTMC’s Local Church Executive Committee. For TTMC, here’s an accronym to describe PPRC. The first P stands for Pastoral Leadership. We need pastors who is able to lead us with knowledge and understanding. He is like the Shepherd of our souls and he is able to lead us after God’s own heart through the Bible’s teachings. As in the Bible, Psalm Chapter 23 verse 1-3 said, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” Then, the second P stands for Pray and Prepare us. The pastor prays and prepares us against spiritual enemies. Next, the letter R represents Refresh. It means refresh our souls so that we can have continuous communication with our Lord, Jesus Christ. The Lord heals and restores our broken souls. In addition, the letter C symbolises Care and Comfort. It means the pastor is there to care and comfort us in whatever situation that we are facing especially during the challenging times in our lives and be there to help us to go through it. In Psalm Chapter 23 verse 4 said, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
