Why family reunion in home coming does brings us joy? “Joy” in the Scripture is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Joy to the world is a universal joy and not joy that comes from the west as some may misconstrued. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people’ (Luke 2:10). Christmas is truly a time of joy to the world for we celebrate the joy of the birth of a Son, the blessing of a Saviour and the beauty of the Sovereign Lord Jesus.

The question is do we see Jesus as how the world sees it? The speaker shared of a man who searches for Father Christmas/Santa Claus and found him in Finland where he spotted Santa Claus on the cold snowy horizon racing along on his snow skidoo. Santa may have lived in the North Pole, but Jesus is everywhere. Santa comes once a year, but Jesus is our ever-present helper. So do we search for Santa Claus or Jesus as the real reason for Christmas? Let’s share the Joy of Christmas with others, the “good tidings of great joy”.
