“I know that my Redeemer lives” by bro Matthew Wong on 28th Aug 2018

The Preacher bro Matthew shared that for many people it is very difficult for them to understand why God let Job suffers. Job can be the equivalent of a great man from the East. He was indeed a righteous and upright man. In the first round Job was struck by calamity. In all these, Job did not charged God with wrong doings (v22). In the second round, God allowed Satan to do anything to Job, but not to take his life. Job handles the calamity very well and he did not sin against God. In the end Job’s friends who tormented and attack Job with words, repented and he prayed for them. We need to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and discern on whether it is appropriate to give counsel or advice. Our faith is our personal faith; our relationship will be just our own intimate relationship with God. Job knows that his redeemer lives and that he is our comforter who died for our sins. Job knows that even after his skin had been destroyed, yet in his flesh he will see God (Job 19:25-27).
