A GLIMPSE OF HOPE, THE IMPACT OF THE BOYS’ BRIGADE (BB) ON YOUTHS

BB was founded in 1883 by Sir William Alexander Smith.  As a Sunday School teacher, he was struggling in handling the “over active” boys in Free Church Mission Hall, North Woodside Road, Scotland.  Eventually, he instilled the idea of a Twin Pillars of Discipline & Religion by introduced Drill & other activities into the Sunday School.  The youths in those days were trained to be worthy manliness.  BB’s movement has over 120 years of history and grown tremendously all over the world including Asia.  Today, Asia becomes the strongest region as compared to the western countries.

As for TTMC, the BB’s ministry was initiated by Rev Poh Chin Sing. It started in 2019 with about 30 boys from both SMK Tabuan Jaya and Borneo International School. There were 12 officers who showed their commitment to serve in this OUTREACH MINISTRY. Praise the Lord for His abundant love & blessings!
