Physical vs Online Worship Testimonial Sharing by sis. Suo Hong from Wed @ Stampin Small Group

I thank Sis Noreen for inviting me to share the difference between virtual church worship and the online worship.

For two years, we have been cut off from church services due to the pandemic of Coronavirus and the variants. But thanking God for His mercies and grace, people of God are still able to worship God through zoom and online meetings. Nothing can stop the advancement of the kingdom of God, for His ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. His plans and purposes are beyond what we can fathom or imagine.

The online worship is never the same as the in-person worship in the church, many a time, there is a lack of reverence with God and lack of communication with brothers and sisters. There are also constant interferences such as phone calls, no proper attire …; many even fall asleep during the worship service. We should confess and repent.

For the virtual worship, we have better fellowship with other Christians, we encourage each other in our faith, and we learn to focus more on our God with love and less on ourselves.

Final words of encouragement are taken from (Heb 10:24-25):

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and or the more as you see the Day approaching.” Here, the Day approaching is the reminder of coming of Jesus!

May God bless you always!
