Praise & Worship Workshop on 2 April 2016
P&W under Chan Poh Hui held a P&W Workshop. The trainers were Pastor Jho and his wife, Ji Young. There were 6 participants; namely in Dr Grace Chua, Dr Ling WS, Susan, Judith, Wendy, Shirly
The following were some comments made by the articipants.
“Thank you for organising this workshop. It is a very good workshop in term of the content, speaker and venue. I have learned more on the true meaning on praise and worship. The content provided is well-prepared. Speaker has presented well to make us understand on the content. I am looking forward to the next workshop. Thank you.”
“It’s been a great experience to attend my first ever workshop on praise n worship. pastor Jho had gave a great words on what is the meaning behind praise n worship, which brings me into a whole new level of understanding on it. Am looking forward to a more practical workshop n teachings on music theory to strengthen the team knowledge on those area. Thumbs up on the organising committee.”

“The workshop taught me the meaning of PnW, and it gives me a very good guideline to choose the songs for service. Most importantly, the motive of the praise and wordship, pastor jho reminded us not to praise lord in our own motive but glorify God. I do appreciate the scores book provided by pastor jho. “
“The session was a delight. We sat down to a lovely and neatly arranged room with great lighting, air conditioning, projector and materials. The materials looked like they have taken substantial time to prepare it is nicely indexed and photocopied. I am very grateful and impressed.
Pastor Jho’s even though he apologised for his lack in his spoken English Language, spoke very clearly and explained all the slides with good illustrations using Powerpoint and even a video to demonstrate what ” Praise” meant. ( a video sample of a Korean P & W lead singer and his instrumentalists) His further explained what Worship should be which enhanced our understanding.
Sister Song supported Pastor Jho during the last part of the session with piano accompaniment while illustrating certain songs’ ” style and format” that was very easy to understand.
Conclusion :
A very private and interesting session prepared by a well organised speaker. This workshop lays down the basics of what and how a P&W person should know and persevere towards. It will surely benefit all future P& W wannabes. The materials distributed ( File and contents) will benefit any member for many years to come. Thumbs up !
