“The Words” by Rev. Poh on 26th Aug 2018
Do we keep a record of our Church history? Looking back to our past history will remind us of our personal encounter with God. As in Deut 6:4 which say that “The Lord our God, the Lord is one”, we are to hear and do as God commanded. Every part of our weekend Church service is important. Deut 6:5 say we are to Love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our strength. This in effect reminds us to love God in Church and in our daily lives. Our attitude towards God’s Word can be meditating on His Word (Psalms 1:2) day and night and talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up (Deut 6:7b). We have a responsibility to impress God’s Word on our children (Deut 6:7a) such as saying Grace before meal times etc (Deut 6:8-9). So when we say we love God wholeheartedly are we serious to pass on and live out God’s Words?
