Loving the foreigners by Rev Lenita on 22nd July 2018
God of Old Testament may seemed very harsh while God of New Testament is a God of grace. Though God was very harsh with foreigners in the Old Testament, there were foreigners who were willing to listen and learn to fear God (Deut 31:12). King Solomon knew what was in God’s heart and he advised the people to listen to the foreigners’ prayers. In the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19), it was obvious that God loves foreigners as well. Are we willing to bring the Gospel to foreigners such as Willian Carey, Hudson Taylor and William Cameron? The preacher shared and indicated that there are ample opportunities for those willing to serve in short term mission overseas and within Sarawak. When the foreigners listen to the law being read they learned to fear the Lord. We can even pray for those who needed our prayers for e.g. when we do received news of those Christians in struggles. Are we willing to serve in those countries that needed the Gospel?
