Members of the family are just a temporal relationship. An earthly father look for intimacy so as the father comes before the kingship (1 Cor. 15:24). Family is also for eternity. Whoever drinks from the spring of the water of life will be called children of God. In the prayer that Jesus taught us, we are to call upon our heavenly Father first. So is it unthinkable to call upon our God “Abba Father” when we pray? If we understand God the Father, do we as brothers and sisters acknowledge Him as our Father? God answers our prayers when you suffer and he urges us to be strong in the inner life through the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. In order to understand the plans of God, we need to be deeply rooted in love to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ (Eph 3:18). We may have knowledge but no wisdom. Look to Jesus when he was nailed on the cross during His last moments and the four utterances during His last words. That was Jesus relationship with the Father.
