An impressive sermon by bro. Matthew Wong on 27th Nov 2016. When you became a Christian does Christ promised that all would be well? In John 6:33 Jesus says, “in this world you will have trouble”, but in whatever condition you are in Jesus knows, if we focus on Jesus. Jesus comes to us in the storm as if there is no storm. He can come in the midst of persecution, in our financial crisis and so on if we are prepared to come to Him. Jesus gave us the assurance to just come to Him when we are weary and burden (Matthew 11:28). When we faced troubles do we dwell on the problem? That was exactly what Peter did and he started to sink and cried out to Jesus for help. Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” He said, “why did you doubt” (Mat 14:31). So are we like Peter who did not focus on Jesus whole heartedly in the first place?
